Social eventsWelcome cocktail - September 22nd On the eve of our symposium opening, we will be welcoming all the attendees to join our cocktail reception held in the Toulouse-Lautrec museum at the Bastion Terrace of the Berbie Palace. Located in the heart of the historical city, the Berbie Palace is listed as an historical monument and was originally the residence of the bishop of Albi. Please join us in this unique location overlooking the episcopal gardens and the Tarn river for casual drinks and social networking. Private guided-tour of the Toulouse-Lautrec collection - September 23rd The Toulouse-Lautrec galleries inaugurated in 1922 in the Berbie Palace contains the most beautiful collection of the artist's work in the world. The museum gather over 1000 unique pieces of art, from lithographs, drawings, work studies, to posters or paintings illustrating the talent of this post-impressionist artist. A private guided-tour of the Toulouse-Lautrec collection will be organized for the attendees on September 23 at 6.15 pm. Duration of the tour : approximately 1 hour. Albi guided-tour - September 24th You are welcome to attend a private guided-tour of the episcopal city including a visit to Albi's Cathedral Sainte-Cécile, a UNESCO world heritage site. More information will be available shortly. Gala dinner - Salettes Castel - September 24th Located at 25 km from Albi, in the heart of Gaillac vineyards, the Chateau de Salettes is a gastronomic hotel restaurant. The chateau, dating from the XIII-XVth century, used to belong to the Toulouse-Lautrec family and has been beautifully renovated. You will enjoy the food which is as refined as the atmosphere. The Michelin starred chef Ludovic Dziewulski creates gourmet dishes based on regional products. A shuttle service will be provided for the attendees. Cordes-sur-ciel - September 26th Following the meeting, a day trip to Cordes-sur-ciel will be organized for the attendees. Located at 25 km from Albi, Cordes-sur ciel is a charming fortified town that sits high on a hilltop. The day trip will include a guided-tour of the town, a lunch at one of the best local restaurants, some free time for sightseeing and a return to either Albi or Toulouse in the mid-afternoon.
